Discovering My Passion for Inclusive Education
At Olive Tree Learning, I am committed to creating high-quality, inclusive educational resources that support diverse learners, particularly those with disabilities. As a mother to three boys, two of whom have disabilities, my journey into the world of special education began when my youngest was diagnosed. This experience ignited a passion within me to specialise in Special Education, leading me to teach in schools designed for students with additional needs. It was through this work that I developed a deep love for supporting students with disabilities.
How I Identified the Need
While teaching, I quickly noticed a significant gap in resources tailored to meet the needs of these students. Motivated by this lack, I began creating my own educational materials. The positive feedback from colleagues and allied health professionals who showed interest in my resources inspired me to expand my reach.
My Global Approach
While I operate from Australia, I am excited to collaborate with a third-party website based in America to sell my resources. This partnership allows me to share my passion and expertise with a broader audience, ensuring that more educators and parents have access to the high-quality materials they need.
